ASPI Member Advantage:
Presentation Database Helps Members Share Customer Knowledge

Is your company a member of ASPI? Are you sharing those benefits with others in your organization? While one of the greatest benefits of ASPI membership can be found in the networking at ASPI meetings, there is also a member benefit that allows you to “pay it forward.”

After every ASPI meetings, presentations are posted to the ASPI website. Nearly all of these presentations are from leading paper manufacturers—your customers. Many share real challenges that a mill is facing, or outline exactly what services they are looking for from their suppliers. Others talk about the key characteristics your customers are looking for, or how they would like their suppliers to engage with their organization. Presentations are available from WestRock, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, Kapstone and many more.

These presentations are a great learning tool for you or others in your company. Incorporate a review of these presentations in your training of new account managers. Use what you’ve learned to focus marketing messages or tailor new product introductions. Gain insight into a customer’s culture and priorities before a sales call. In short, however your company can benefit from the “inside scoop” on industry customers, markets, or leadership—ASPI Membership can provide a resource.

Here are a just few examples of recent presentations available to ASPI Members:

  • Attributes of Leadership—Jack Sanders, President & CEO, Sonoco (Fall ’17)
  • Supplier Diversity—Marck Ensign, Director, Global Category Management, Sonoco (Fall ’17)
